stump grinding

Stump grinding uses specialist machinery to grind the tree stump down below ground level. The stump is reduced to wood chips, allowing the area to be levelled, turfed or replanted.
Most stumps are ground to around 150–300mm below ground level, which is usually deep enough for turfing, planting or landscaping.
The wood chippings created during grinding can either be left on site to use as mulch in the garden or removed if you prefer a completely clear area.
Yes. Stump grinding is usually quicker, less disruptive and avoids large holes in the garden. It removes the visible stump while minimising disturbance to the surrounding area.
